Having transformed a similarly neglected setting at the Maho Beach resort Saint Maarten Black Rock Grill was again his first choice for the Alexandra resort and the introduction of Hot Rock Table Top Cooking.
The simplicity of the Black Rock Grill trade and restaurant concept meant that with minimum fuss Alexandra resort, part of the Turks & Caicos Collection of hotels, had a new restaurant operation in just days.
Some upgrading to under counter refrigeration, the adding of a lager washing up sink and running a 220V electric line and a lick of paint was all that was required.
Black Rock Grill UK office shipped the complete trade and restaurant set-up. Our installation team advised on meat and seafood cuts and a number of menu ideas that would sit well with the international guests that the Alexandra has assembled over the years.
Hot Rock Stone cooking is a completely new concept to the Caribbean Island and its team so Black Rock Grill were on site to set-up and install the restaurant and service.
Four days of staff induction, training and a couple of dummy runs with staff and guests ensured that the opening day went with minimum glitches.
The very next day Black Rock Grill opens at The Alexandra Resort and from day one we are serving 150 covers.
A month on and the restaurant is a huge hit with the guests, staff and management team. To keep up with the demand a further 24 Rock Set-Up has been ordered as demand for the popular table top cooking - Black Rock Grill.
Our steak stones system is certainly making all the difference and is proving to be a rock solid investment.
